Brown County High School Camps

2009 Cross Country Camps

Date: June 1-5, 2009**

**May move June 5th date to June 8th if anyone makes it to the State Track Meet on the 5th of June.**

Location: Eagle Park

Eligible Campers: Incoming 5th Graders to Incoming 9th Graders.

Time: 6:30pm to 8:00pm (Check-in 6:15pm)

Cost: $35.00 (includes T-Shirt , a 1600 Meter Race or 3000 Meter Race & Discount Ticket for the July BC/XC Race in July)

Format:

Monday –Thursday
1.    Learn the fundamentals of good running form.
2.    Learn the proper way to warm-up and stretch.
3.    Participate in relay races of all types.
4.    Play some running games.
5.    Learn the proper way to warm-down and stretch.

Friday
1. Race night. We will have 2 different races.

a. 1600 Meter Run (5th-7th Graders)
b. 3000 Meter Run (8th-9th Graders)

2. A runner can move up to the next
race group but no one can move down
to a lower level.

Awards:
Awards will be given to runners in the two races.
**In order to guarantee a spot at the camp, registration must be made prior to May 22, 2009
*DAY OF CAMP REGISTRATION WILL BE ALLOWED, but camp supplies cannot be guaranteed.

**The camp will occur for all five days weather permitting**
